The Erie Yacht Club, established in 1895, is a highly respected yacht club located on the shores of Lake Erie and supports a membership of nearly 1,500. It is a premiere destination for those who enjoy boating. Our members come from a diverse background, including sailors, racers, cruisers and enthusiasts. With a year-round anchorage on Presque Isle Bay, members participate build strong bonds on & off the water. Our club is well-known for our past traditions and hospitable atmosphere, making it a special place for all members from many different backgrounds.
With membership classes for all ages, the opportunities to join the club are available throughout the year. Our newly renovated Clubhouse offers indoor & outdoor social events, as well as the opportunity for rental space for private events. Our expanded outdoor wrap around patio showcases Lake Erie’s sunsets and offers the best space for midday networking lunches or evening happy hours with friends.

Our Story
On September 14, 1894, George T. Bliss, who served as Erie Yacht Club's Commodore from 1895-1903, 1908-1910 and 1913, sent out "about fifty" circulars, information forms and return envelopes to interested parties concerning "a boat club in Erie that will take all kinds of boats. The rest….
