The Erie Yacht Club located in Erie PA is looking a summer Sailing
Director for the Reyburn Sailing School. The position requires 12 weeks
of work. Duties include preparing the boats for the season, supervising
the instruction, and storing the program at the end of the season.
Other duties required of the position are:
- Safety of students and staff both on and off the water.
- Performs in-season day-to-day operations of the day, evening and
race team classes. Instruct as necessary on and off the water.
- Oversee maintenance of boats.
- Plan/coordinate regatta activities.
- Manages instructor scheduling.
- Meets with Committee as necessary.
- Supervises instructors and help them to develop effective instruction
techniques.
- Oversees start-up and shut down operations.
- Provides year-end report of programs/instructors.
USSailing Level 1, CPR, and First Aid required by start of program. The position is well suited for a school teacher that has summers off,
or retired and enjoys sailing. If anyone is interested please send a
