2006 Snipe Junior and Special Junior Nationals

The 2006 Snipe Junior/Special Nationals will be held July 8-9, 2006 at the Erie Yacht Club in Erie, PA.

Eligibility - For the SCIRA USA Jr/Special National Championship the skipper shall be a USA citizen, or resident of at least one year, who will not be 20 years old or more on December 31, 2006. The crew for the Special Jr. Nationals may be any age, but must be a USA resident and a current member of SCIRA and SCIRA USA. The skipper, the crew, and the boat used shall be properly registered with SCIRA and SCIRA USA at the time of the event. The top two (2) finisher in the Jr. Nationals regatta will qualify for the 2007 Junior Worlds.

Cost to join class - $15 each
Cost for regatta $40 - includes dinner Sat night.

Housing - Due to the number of expected participants there is no housing provided for this event. However, there are inexpensive options including camping and local dorms. Check out accomodations for more information.

Practice Clinic
We hope to run an informal practice clinic on Friday afternoon around 3PM. So plan on having boats weighed and measured prior to. We will also have help for kids in throughout the weekend during rigging and prior to racing Sat morning.
