Note To Canadians: To help with Registration please send a copy of your SCIRA Canada card with your event registration.

The SCIRA USA Board of Directors has approved an invitation to all Snipe Class Members of SCIRA Canada to participate in the 2006 SCIRA USA Nationals (including the Junior and Special Junior National Championships) that is being held July 7-14 at the Erie YC in Erie, PA. We hope your members will consider participating as the event is being hosted so close to your border in D-5 where many of your members have frequently participated.

The USA Nationals has in the past been an event that is open only to members of SCIRA USA. The USA Board is considering moving this to a ‘fully open’ event. The invitation to members of SCIRA Canada is a first step/experiment in that direction.

At the event SCIRA Canada members will be required to show evidence that they are paid members of SCIRA and SCIRA Canada. As competitors in the event they will be awarded their earned position in the event standings, including any event specific finishing position awards ( ie 1 st place award in Crosby, Heinserling or Wells). However, as we have not modified our Deeds of Gift for the Perpetual Trophies for the events, they will not be eligible to be awarded the Perpetual Trophies that are subject to Deeds of Gift which specify that the winner of the award must be a USA Citizen or a resident of the USA for at least one year.
