Welcome to the 2006 Snipe Nationals hosted by District 5 and the Erie Yacht Club. This year marks the 75th year of the Snipe and we want to celebrate!

Our theme for the 2006 nationals is "75 boats for 75 years", help make it happen. Whether you sail an older snipe or a new boat this venue is for you. The Bay on Presque Isle is self contained and often has better winds than on Lake Erie.

Presque Isle Bay is a flat, fresh water venue where winds average 8-12 knots if out of the West and 15-22 if an easterly blows through. Depending on wind direction the sailing area is 5-15 minutes from the club. The club has 3 hoists and 2 ramps for launching. Plenty of room for trailers and dollies.

The events comprising this regatta will begin Friday, July 7th, with registration and measurement, and run through Friday, July 14th.
